Well just about everything is done in the HT with the exception of the following:
I was all set to order an 8oz red popper on eBay and then the seller ran out of stock with ETA of mid March. Upon further research I found a seller named Discount Tommy, his machines seem to be nice quality and most are pleased with them. My other option is a 4oz Elite tabletop model from Costco:http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...rodID=11201859
Ratings look good but I am concerned that it lacks the third switch that I see on the 6 and 8 oz models. The funny part is I am not even certain what the function of the third switch is! I'm just thinking 1 more switch, I need that! My hunch is that it is a switch which controls the stirrer separate from the kettle, whereas on the 2 switch machines the kettle and stirrer operate off 1 switch. Can anyone tell me if I am correct, and more importantly do I need that third switch? The Costco machines seems ideal otherwise, it's just my wife and I 99% of the time and that will probably make plenty of popcorn for the 2 of us.
I also bought a brand new in the box Presto Hot Topper on eBay in anticipation of the new popcorn machine. From what I read on these forums the Hot Topper is the way to go for putting butter on popcorn at home.
I am trying to avoid the standard movie posters all over the walls. Instead I had an idea to purchase 3D standees like you see at the actual cinema. The problem is I cannot find any sources for these. I even searched eBay with no luck, just a few of them and nothing I would want. I did find a lot of sites that sell cardboard cutout standees but they are not the 3 dimensional type I am after, they are flat printed on cardboard.
I started a thread about this in the HT accessories forum where you can see a pic of each type of standee I am describing:http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...php?p=15865714
