It may have been a lame attempt at humor, but I gotta go with what I got - which isn't much!
Sorry to get so serious on you there. I do tend to put each item I am focusing on under a microscope, what can I say-you are who you are!

Pretty soon when he gets his machine there will be pictures of the machine in action. I say bring it on!!!
Still looking for an invite for a free sample (shameless plug for free airfare, food and lodging for a family of four to somewhere more exciting than Indiana in March) (minus basketball of course) just in time for Spring Break!!!! Yeah!
Now back to the regularly scheduled popcorn machine er ah home theater thread.
Obsession is the perfect term for this. My fear is that soon I will run out of items to obsess on, then what? I'll have to create some new projects for this HT.
The machine is still in the box because I had to be at work last night for a special event until 8, got home and just didn't feel like doing anything! Besides having not bought the popcorn yet, it would have been anti climactic.

I use megapop 6oz kits done in two batches.
Something else i discovered with it that I'm not sure people know... it has a magnetic strip built into the ceiling of the popper directly above the kettle. If you slide the kettle cover all the way to the top, it will catch on the magnet and stay put while you are adding ingredients or cleaning the kettle in place.
That is great to hear! I found the Megapop locally at Smart and Final for $22.99 for a box of 36 6oz packs, seemed like a good deal but wasn't sure if I could use 6 oz packs in our popper. So you are saying that you do 2 3oz batches from each Megapop pack? Just curious, any reason why you didn't go with the 4 oz Megapop packs? I am assuming it is to pop more corn, but any other reason? Also is it easy to use half the pack at a time?
