looking for a good sub $1000 40+ 1080p LCD?

hey all,

My friend is looking for a sub $1000 40"+ 1080p LCD. I haven't been in the market for a TV for a couple years now, so my research is a bit outdated. Do you have any recommendations? She was looking at a Vizio before, but I'm not a huge fan of those models...

The Toshiba 42RV530U is an excellent TV with a street price close to that. Just make sure to get it from an authorized Toshiba dealer.
