Help. Need 32"monitor suggestions to go with HP Slimline PC

OK, I'm old and confused. I would like to get a 32" LCD monitor/TV to pair up with my hp s3220n pc. This pc has an integrated graphics card. I want to do mainly email and web surfing. Do I need a 1080p LCD or will 720p work OK. If so what should I pick?

The more I read on the forums the confusing it becomes.

One other thing,besides being old and confused I'm cheap.

1080P isn't necessary when using as a computer but !080P will be noticably sharper.

Great quality to value would be the Vizio VO32 for 1080P and the Vizio VU32 for 720P both are very solid tv's and are great prices.
The VO can be found at the wholesale stores Sams, BJ's Costco's the VU can be found at Circuit City, Sear's and target
