Having trouble ripping HD DVD and BR.

I first tried AnyDVD, and both drives show disabled.
I then tried DVDFab HD decrypter and no drives appear as a selectable option.
Both drives appear under "My Computer" with the movie title after the drive letter, and I can see the files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
ej

DVDFab HD doesn't actually do HD anymore, so the name is a bit of a misnomer.
As far as AnyDVD goes, not sure what the issue is - pop in the disc, let it scan, then right click on the logo in the taskbar>copy
Are you saying that when you open AnyDVD you don't see a default drive? Only having one (poor me) in my system maybe I didn't have to set it, but perhaps you need to assign one-
Have you checked the slysoft forum/faqs? They are usually pretty responsive about this and it's certainly the easiest/quickest way to make a copy.

What type of drives do you have?

It sees both drives when I select either (xbox add-on and an LG BR drive. ) it says both are unavailable. I can select my regular DVD drives.

Whenever I try to open the BR drive in TMT Vor PDVD, the program locks up and shows "not responding" requiring a hard reset Same thing happens if I try and bring up the driver info in the "my computer" screen. goes white, no6t responding, a total lockup. i can't even get anywhere near it to uninstall the drivers. I'm pulling my hair out! any ideas?
thanks,
e
