what happens to Dolby TrueHD...

hey guys, thanks in advance for any help you can offer...

a background of what I have might help you guys answer my question:

-Laptop w/ bluray rom (not capable of decoding TrueHD)
-Creative's Sound Blaster 5.1 External sound card
-Optical (toslink) connection from soundcard to Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers

My questions are:

1). When I play a bluray disc that features TrueHD with the above setup, what will I hear? 2.0 stereo? 5.1 discrete surround? nothing?

and

2). Do all bluray discs that feature TrueHD/Lossless PCM have a regular lossy 5.1 surround track that my bdrom will recognize and send via toslink to my speakers?

I just want 5.1 discrete surround--it doesn't have to be lossless surround. I want to avoid dolby 2.0 stereo or matrixed surround.

Thanks for all of your time and help

You get the mandatory companion DD 5.1 track which is normally "hidden" from the menu but it's there.
