After lurking around here for months, I had decided that the Epson 1080UB was what I wanted. That is until I heard about the Panasonic 3000. The early info on it and the US pricing of $2500 made it look almost too good to pass up. Unfortunatly, the Canadian pricing wasnt as attractive ($3200) and the difference in price between the two projectors in Canada (after the free bulb and rebate) worked out to be closer to $1200, which was just too much. I purchased the Epson about 2 weeks ago, and am very happy with it. It has exceeded my expectations. If the price difference had been closer to $500, it would have been a tough call, but for $1200 difference it was a no brainer. After reading Art's review, I know I made the right decision. The only thing the Panasonic had that really interested me was the lens memory, and it seems like the Epson does almost everything else just as well or even slightly better than the Panasonic.
