Todd Howard interview

Read the article on IGN and I am really liking what I read. The pics above really show off the new engine and this maybe one of the best looking games on 360 so far. I have been trying to avoid this thread since the game isn't coming anytime soon. Teasing myself every few weeks isn't too bad and it is great to see Reaper posting every tidbit out there.

This game is looking incredible. I read the GiantBomb preview and I'm in. Sold, day one, period. Now I should probably stop following the previews ... but it's so hard not to look. Also, PC version for me

Skyrim trailer was incredible

As long as the graphics are on-par with RDR (and looks like it is) I'll be very happy. Oh and no loading screen every 20ft.

Three seconds of gameplay slowed down to 1/8 speed. You can see a compass, the snow effect, magic in the hand and some creature crawling out of a coffin.

Think they took the link down, as it goes to a generic youtube page for me.

I think it's your logged in version or something. Remove the "?rdm=4mai37j60" and it works fine.

New interview:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=db-o_HrpC-0

Summary:

- Todd confirms walls with loading on larger cities, haven't heard the rest yet.
- Racism and racial conflicts are back, mostly between between Nords and Elves.
- Sneak uses eyeball that opens and closes depending on how visible you are.
- Alchemy changed a little from oblivion
- 50% of the dungeons are small 15 mins or so, half the dungeons are larger, epic 1-2 hour dungeons
- lots more puzzles and traps (inc spacial puzzles)
- Necromancers are in
- Nine Divines and Daedra in also, including some unique quests
- Mammoth, Deer, Elk and rabbits all confirmed
- Each creature has been really fleshed out, they have condiered things like, what they wear, where they live what sort of clutter they have in there camps etc.
- When you see giants in the game they are often with Mammoths. This could mean for hunting? as mounts? co-existing?
- There are other creatures not yet mentioned but they are not talking about them yet.
- Armour, wood cutting, mining, cooking and ;working on leather' all included. They are not mini games you just click on them and do them.
- However some open small menu's such as cooking which shows all your foods you have + what you can make with it. This means there are cooked and raw versions of food

Reaper as always fantastic job. You amaze me with how you find all of this info.

Thank you. Glad to share the excitement! My enthusiasm continues to build. I'm anxious to see what it looks like when you breathe fire! Amazing! I want to see but I also don't. Wish I was playing the game right now.

Serpents in Skyrim? Game Rant thinks so. Wonder if this includes sea serpents?

Some new info:

http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php...games-article/

New Infos I found (for me new)
- The map in the inventory will be slighty similar like Google Maps and will be in 3D
- You cannot make notes on the map
- There will also be some friendly dragons you can speak with
- Traders will be depending on what has been harvested, so if there is a cornfield in the city which gets destroyed by a fire, the traders in the city will run out of corn or you have to pay horrible prices
- The wind is going to have influences on the water so there might be some ?crimps? (dunno if its the right word) on the water due to the wind and there will also be dynamic waves depending on the wind
- Lockpicking is a minigame again
- There will be 8-9 settlements besides the 5 major citys
- Buying houses is in
- There will be kids in the land of skyrim
- They are planning to connect Skyrim with social networks like facebook

There are also three new screens, guess they are pretty the same like the new GI ones.
First one is a dungeon with some graves in the background, there are three Draugrs attacking you and in the background graves you can see a skeleton and a lying draugs
On the scond one you can see a typical nord farmhouse built on a mountain, looks so awesome, wanna to kill everyone inside and making it to mine
On the last one you can see the dragonborn in a cave, taking his sword with a draugr standing in front of him and a small stream is flowing.

Sweet Jeebus, this is gonna be a great title on the PC if their engine isn't as broken as Gamebryo was.

Agreed. I think this time I am going through the pc version for sure. Consoles are just showing their age now.
I really really hope they make it worthwhile to PC players and not limit how awesome this game can look based on the need to pacify the console crowd. Then again they probably will. Hey I'm impressed the 360 looks so good to be honest.
