I'm a little conflicted myself. With both Oblivion and Fallout 3 I bought just about all the DLC and then, being the obsessive, compulsive, distrustful of DRM type that I am, I sold them and bought the GotY editions when they were released. I'll probably end up getting the GotY edition of Skyrim as well but I don't feel like waiting until 2013 (or later) to play these expansions. Given the popularity of the game, it may be a long while before we see a compilation edition.

If the Wii U gets a Skyrim port any current DLC will be on disk (like Knights of the Nine was for Oblivion PS3) so let's hope.

I have patience and plenty of other games to play so I can wait.

It's worth it so far. After spending 200 hours on the main campaign and taking a break for a few months, it feels really good to get back into it with new content.

i've only played about 30 minutes into the DLC, but it's definitely worth it so far. i like the crossbow (not really a spoiler, they give you one almost as soon as you start the dawnguard quest).

i started it on a character with 'only' 118 hours (i'll do the other, 200 hour character tonight), so i can try out both quest paths. the enemies seemed more challenging, could have been my imagination though. there are some new things i didn't expect (pleasant surprises), so yeah, i think it's worth the $20 in MS points.

If you haven't checked out Skyrim's DLC thus far or haven't even checked out Skyrim, both are on sale as Xbox's Deal of the Week, as well as Oblivion and Oblivion DLC (No horse armor. Typical). They're not amazing deals, but Dawnguard is 1200 MS, down from 1600 MS, so at least you save $5.

Skyrim is $30 this weekend on Steam. For those of you thinking about moving over to the PC version for better framerates and fidelity, let me entice you a bit.

This video is made but some sort of nub, but it does eventually get to the good part. You can pretty easily copy your 360 savegame to a USB flash drive, then open that savegame on your PC. At that point you can extract the important section and load it up in the PC version of Skyrim. I just moved to Skyrim PC and can report success in retaining my progress from the 360 version. I don't know if there will be weird issues later or anything, but currently everything looks to be in order.

Now I'm off to check out the mods.

FYI the Skyrim DLC goes on sale for 50% off on Feb 19th, including Dragonborn

Is this still happening? Price still looks normal today and I've been wanting to buy all the DLC for this game.

Great, looks like Skyrim (full game) is on sale and Oblivion add ons but nothing for Skyrim add-ons

They're all on Deal of the Week but sometimes they don't all go on sale at the same time. They'll be on sale by tonight.

I don't think so. It was only on sell for the PS3 as a "sorry we screwed you guys" special.

Bummer, I was looking forward to this sale to get the DLC and spark up my interest in the game again. I'll keep waiting, no need to drop 1600 cr on the thing now.

Do you need to finish the main quest before starting any of the DLC? Or does it just add more quests to the game? Do you start over in Dragonborn or Dawnguard, or continue with same character?

Trying to figure out if I should finish the game before getting the DLC.

Nothing makes you appreciate this game quite like putting in Oblivion. I never actually finished Oblivion so I want to go back and play though it again, plus I'm bored with COD. The game isn't bad but man does it feel dated after playing so much Skyrim.

Nope, they are just added like an additional quest. Just got Dawnguard yesterday and I am no where near finishing the main storyline.

I need to get these. I am going to try to finish off Bioshock and Tomb Raider, and then I am thinking I will get into this game pretty hard. I might as well get the DLC for half off that way I have it.

So bizarre, I looked at Dragonborn last night on Xbox live and it was 1600. I go to post here, and then sign on to Xbox live via my browser and see it's 800! What the heck? I'll just buy it via Xbox.com and go from there.
