Consumer Reports Rates Best CE Retailers

According to a study, Amazon, B&H and Crutchfield can beat the prices of its in-store competitors.
Apparently, you don't need to get off your butt to get a good deal.
Consumer Reports says that Amazon.com, B&H and Crutchfield provide better prices than any in-store shopping experience. The pub surveyed more than 38,000 purchases of electronics between January 2007 and June 2008, and found that online retailers offered better prices.
Although no one site ranked number one, Amazon and Crutchfield came close for their selection. B&H and Amazon also got a shout-out for prices. Readers that bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100. Despite the lack of selection and service, Costco and BJs each got a nod for in-store pricing.
