I think it would be a good feature to have. One question I have is how does one monitor the incoming network when they are in local mode? I see that the network ASI feeds an input of the ASI monitor selector, but how does the monitor decoder get set to the correct PID?
Has Fox addressed how a station will be able to delay the network if required? Up until the analog shutoff one could delay the SD feed but that should be going away. I suppose one way would be to enable the ASI emergency 2x2 to pass the station encoder directly and then use the splicer ASI output as a source to record the incoming network feed. Obviously there would be a quality hit if it was re-encoded, but it would still be HD.
Also the separate audio input looks like a breakaway. While that works, ducking would be more graceful.
