Pioneer VSX-9300S Oldie question

Thread Starter
I have a Pioneer VSX-9300S (125 watts per channel) dolby pro logic reciever.
Using 2 Bose front main speakers.
Using 2 Pioneer for back.
I never got a center channel speaker because this receiver needs an amplified
speaker. Center out (L=R= 106 mV input)(level/inpedance).....2 V/4.7 ohms

I really like this receiver (sounds GREAT) but would like to get better use of its surround mode.
Any ideas for center speaker.
Also this has no output for a subwoofer, any ideas.

Or should I just get a NEW HT in a box.
I don't wanna spend alot since I just bought a new HDTV.

Some of those older AVRs sound better (and are even built better) than today's current crop. You've got a good one.

However, you're almost trying to put a square peg into a round hole....no center amplification and no sub.

I'd say you'd be better off with a HTIB, or a pre-packaged system than you would using what you've got and trying to find other pieces to fit (but still wouldn't give you as good of sound).

Don't know what your budget is, but here are a few suggestions....

-Sony Bravia DAV-HDX576WF

-Panasonic SC-PT960

-Yamaha YHT-580

-Denon DHT-487DV

Then, there's this which is more, but probably sound better than any of the above too. It would also allow you some flexibility to change out speakers and add components.....
