Thanks, I just turn off multicore proc and the the hitching stopped.

Looks like possible bad programming by Valve .

Finished the all the SP campaigns and its still short...once you get into a routine it becomes vary easy. Boy it was tough because of the hitching and freezes. It would have been impossible to play online MP with the probms. Maybe I will get online later...but the the idea of killing zombies get old fast for me...but thats just me. Just doesnt get exciting when there is nobody shooting back.

Boy one to two more years before CoD6 modern.

How do you find out the frame rate? Is there a console that you can open and enter a command?

In the other source games I've used you can open the console and type cl_showfps 1. I am 90% sure that this works in L4D. To turn off just open the console and type cl_showfps 0.

You can use FRAPS...thats what a lot of pple use to monitor frame rates. If you have a NVidia card you can use eVGA's Precision utility to do the same thing.

Yep that works, dont forget to enable console in the options.

In source games (CS Source and Team Fortress 2), you can usually do this:

1) open console (~)
2) type "net_graph 3"

If you want to get rid of the graph and numbers, I believe you type "net_graph 0"

Our mixed server is doing well so we're going to shut that down and open two L4D servers (one co-op and one vs).

I just picked up the original L4D game thru Steam's sale a few days ago. Any of you guys still play it and want to meet up sometime to co-op? It's be cool to get 4 people. Although, I don't have a microphone.

It was a fun game last night. I felt like such a slug though while having to type my voice comms....sometimes getting hit bad while doing so. I'll dig my headset out tonight so it's ready for the next run.

Yeah man it was great last night, sorry you didn't make it to the choppa! Anyway, we played with 3 of us from this forum, and one bot. So we had room for another one if anyone wants to join.

That was the first time I even played that round. I got attacked by the boomer, so by the time I got free I thought you both were already on the chopper, so I just made a run for it. Sorry. LOL. I'll try and track down a headset too.

Another fun round last night!

Yeah we all survived and made it to the boat! We had good team work there, especially considering that 2 of us last night are pretty much noobs. We were playing on advanced difficulty.

Yeah, like when Zoey (forget who was in the game at that time...someone random?) but she got stuck on her back in those logs while the tank was chasing Aug around. Eventually you pushed her enough where she was able to be picked up....random glitch + Tank chasing Aug=Good times.

I'll be around tonight if anyones up for another round. The woman is at some school function until after 9:00pm tonight so I'm declaring a video game night!

haha yeah what I did was actually shot her and incapacitated her and that unglitched her, then I helped her up, all the while you and augcliffe held off Mr. Tank. Hey we all ended up making it out too! I am in for a game tonight too...
