I've been having a good enough time with L4D, that I'll be looking to purchase L4D2 when I see it on sale. The DLC looks sweet as well that's coming out down the road.

Same here. Once I see it for $35 or less I'll probably get it.

That's what I did. Dell had a $29.99 sale 2 weeks ago with free shipping. It arrived in 10 days. Pretty decent deal. Amazon had the same deal during that time. There should be more sweet deals coming for Christmas.

And there we have it... L4D2 $30 at Amazon today!!

I'm tempted to buy it too! Seems like a waste of $7.49 for L4D 1 then, especially seeing that I havent played through even 25% of it yet...havent tried any of the other game modes aside from what we've played and sure havent controlled a zombie yet. $30 sounds tempting but damn I have a lot of unstarted games building up...not to mention even more free updates to Team Fortress 2 this week...

Okay, I lied. I had a lot of other Christmas shopping to finish up on Amazon and I ended up adding L4D2 to my cart right at the end. It should be here in time for the weekend.

Stupid Amazon sales...

Yep, just saw that. I had ordered last night for $40, but I was able to cancel it and get it for $30 today.

I chose free shipping, so I won't get it until Christmas.

Really? Amazon has free 2 day shipping on most everything..including L4D2. I know, I just paid for it and shipping & handling was $0.00 for everything I bought. Maybe it's from the Prime membership I signed up for a while back...I thought that had expired though.

Oh well, I'll still play some L4D with yout till you get L4D2!

That was one of the best deals of the year. Not a waste.

Paying $37.48 for both games is hard to beat. That was some wise shopping.

I have another HTPC that uses my 2nd steam account and I buy second copies of my favorite coop games for it. I wait for great deals for that account.

The only other better deal this year was the $2.49 2-hour sale of Team Fortress 2 over Thanksgiving. Oh yeah! That was a bargain. I did buy my 2nd copy at that time.

I have an old machine laying around too with a Athlon64x2-6000+, 4GB DDR2-800, and a cheap Geforce 8400GS that I may end up keeping if it can play games acceptably. It's a frankenstein machine made with spare parts from past computers and the new case to put it all in showed up today.

Well, I guess we can swap back and forth between the two games now!

I still want to play through Crash Course...it's the only campaign I havent tried yet. I'll be around tonight as the girlfriend is going to some wine tasting event with the girls so I'll be free to "kills some of those stupid zombies with your internet freinds" as she said.

I'll be online and will play, but probably after 9pm EST.

My copy of L4D2 showed up at work today. I'm going to get that game installed right after work and check out a level or two.

Anyone else feel that the controls in L4D2 are slightly off from L4D? The pistols is most notable for me. I miss my original auto-shotgun too. The new one just doesn't have the same feel. Is it just me?

I'm coming back from vacation tonight, so I'm up for any games this week.

Both games are super cheap today. $7 for L4D2, or $10 for both. Go. Buy. Now.

I think there's a world of difference in "control" between L4D and L4D2. I greatly prefer L4D. Perhaps its a difference in graphics and my GTX 260 is showing its age but L4D is much more fluid than L4D2. An example would be water. Running thru any water, whether it be a swamp, or a mud puddle is like slogging through quicksand. Kind of like climbing the mountain of gravel in the Sacrifice campaign in L4D. Come to think of it that campagn would be a good comparison as I have yet to play it in L4D2. Now I have something to check!
