As of 9:30 am (when I checked) looks like everything is live. I didn't have time to do a side by side comparison but I noticed there were some that you left out of your line up, like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.

Though it's nice to have more channels most of the stuff that's been added are channels I'll never watch. I guess it's worth it for the few that I will. It sure would have been nice if they could have included The Weather Channel and the especially The Tennis Channel (after all they added every other sports network). Oh well, maybe we'll get those sometime in 2016. tongue.gif

Thought I noticed both the Weather Channel and Tennis Channel...check again in the 376-401 range.

Yep, you're right. I just did a quick scan this morning as I had to leave the house so I missed them. It is in the range you said and I don't think I went to channels that low. I started at the 440s and went up from there. I just checked again there's a whole bunch of new additions I didn't see the first time I looked. I'll still probably end up never tuning into most of them but I guess it's just nice to know they are finally there. biggrin.gif

I believe we went from around 40 something channels to 109 channels. Your right about probably not watching a lot of them but at least we do finally have them.

New Guide coming soon for Xfinity (deployment some time 2013)

Your link doesn't work.
It worked earlier. They may have pulled it down. It was a video of a family watching TV and using the new guide.
I think the new guide is already out if you have the Anyroom DVR service but we will have to change out our boxes SA8300HD because the new guide will not work with the SA boxes.

It's still there...I just clicked on the link and watched it.

Maybe it works for Apple or something becuase it won't work for any of my computers. It downloads something with .ogg ending and is never able to open or play. Weird but no big deal.

OGG Theora is an open-source video format. It plays in modern versions of Firefox and this file should let you play it in Windows Media Player. http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/oggdsf/opencodecs_0.85.17777.exe

Just an FYI...

On my Mac, Safari does the same thing you are describing, it downloads a .ogg file. But it does work in Firefox.

Is anyone else on Comcast getting a lot of drop outs on 432 WPTV. It has been driving me crazy for the last few days.
Is anyone getting pixilation on WPTV (channel 5) on DirecTV in HD? My wife has been complaining that it has been happening quite a bit since 3pm today.

yes, I noticed it last night while watching Revolution

New broadcast station near Palm City.

I've been receiving a very strong signal on channel 24.1 for the last few days. It is just a 720p test video with no station ID.
Ch 24.1 is WDOX-LD out of Sebastian,FL. Owned by DTV America 1, LLC. Transmitting low power 15kw. I'm receiving a 75 signal strength from them and I am in Wellington ,FL

Pixilation on WPTV (channel 5) on DirecTV in HD, no Offair yes, either direct antenna or thru directv off air tuner with off air antenna
post #9206 of 9316
They must have more than one transmitter, you wouldn't be receiving any signal from a low power station in Sebastian at your location. They are about 40 miles N of me. I have an attic antenna pointed S and my signal strength meter is pegged at the top.
WDOX signal should cover up to 20 miles to Port St Lucie. So if your 40 miles south of them and they are pining your signal meter, sounds like its either a different Xmiter location or more than 15 kw. I am 60 miles from them and I have my antenna pointing south to get Miami stations but when I rotate around to point north I get ch 24.1 at 75% at 60 miles away. All I see are test patterns changing every 3 seconds.

I just got my bill from comcast for this month. Looks like starting next year they are going to start charging for the first two digital adapters that used to be free. How nice of them...

Seriously?? If true, that is an absolute total ripoff. We shouldn't have to even use those adapters. We certainly shouldn't have to PAY for them!
