Subwoofer Cable

May sound stupid but I'm new to this. I have Definitive 7006 with have a 8" sub in each tower. I do not have a stand alone subwoofer. I was thinking about running the subs in the tower together into the receiver subwoofer outlet.

My towers have a LFE in inlet. I was wondering do I need to use a RCA cable or would a digital coaxial cable? Also if it is the later I dont know where to find a 2 into 1 splitter for coaxial.

Thanks for the help!

I don't understand the question. The digital coaxial cables are RCA cables. The difference is in the wire being coax and the wire maybe being coax or maybe being twisted pairs. You're working with low frequency here. Almost anything will work. People into high-end cables will argue all sorts of things that don't really hold up in reality but you can use almost anything for this. The key is that it be shielded so coax or shielded twisted pair...what ever.

As for a "2 into 1" splitter, RCA Y-connectors are common. Come off the back of your receiver sub out into a Y and from there to each speaker.

I would simply hook up the subs however it is recommended in the owners manual of the speakers.

Hi, Vandals909
If this is what I think, You should use a amplifiers sub out low level RCA terminal. Oterwise, it has to be a coaxial input on the speakers, and there is'nt, right?

Since he said this, and DefTechs have built in subs.... my guess would be they have an LFE input on each tower. I would also guess that the manufacturer calls for splitting the LFE out from the pre/pro into each tower. But, it would be best to consult the owners manual on the speakers to get the correct wiring diagram.
