Need input for projector ...input

Thanks to this forum,a Mitsubishi HC1500 now resides in my living room.
I'm trying to decide on the best low-cost input solution and would welcome your thoughts.

A couple of notes: The pj is not in a dedicated home theater room;it is on a bookshelf in the living room and will probably eventually be mounted on the ceiling. We only watch movies at home occasionally;really don't care about Blu-ray or games so are not looking for "the ultimate home theater"(I know, heresy here...)

Here are the primary options I'm considering:
  • Oppo 980
  • Tivo HD - for streaming Netflix, downloading from Amazon and watching sports
  • Multimedia computer -- such as Dell studio hybrid

Not mutually exclusive options, but would prefer to keep things simple with one primary input source. Clearly the Oppo is the lowest cost option, but the recent announcement about streaming Netflix availability on Tivo caught the attention (not currently Netflix subscribers so that would be an add-on monthly cost to consider). But not sure it is worth setting up an additional Tivo HD just for occasional watching on the projector.

Any options not listed here that should be considered?

What about using an HDMI switch to run HDMI from our main Tivo HD both to our LCD tv and to the projector (on the other side of the room) rather than buying another Tivo HD?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Monoprice sells a 4x2 HDMI switch that I use. I only use it for sending video (no audio) to both my TV and my projector. It can be set to automatically sense when a device is on and send the signal, no remote button to push. Video is easier to send than audio and video combined.
