Anyone have this issue with their Panny 42PX75U or similar?

I bought my 42PX75U new last in July/August (2007). Everything had been working great until a couple hours ago. The TV seemingly is having issues processing IR signals from the remote. I first noticed this when I pressed the "All On" button on my DVR remote. The TV didn't turn on so I tried to turn it on separately, which didn't work either. I then tried the dedicated TV remote and that didn't work. I ended up having to turn the TV on manually with the button on the panel. Now it seems that the TV will respond to the remotes maybe 2' - 3' away, but no farther. At the "threshold" distance where the TV stops responding, it seems to lag a little, where I might press a button and it takes an extra second to register on the TV. For example, if I press the volume button five times, it will go up or down five times but not quickly or evenly. I replaced the batteries in the remotes but the problem still exists.

Has anyone on here had a similar issue with their Panasonic plasma?

Edit: Also, I disconnected the power for a couple minutes but the issue is still there.

Try new batteries from a different package. Sometimes all the batteries from the same package are weak.

Also, keep in mind that fluorescent lights (especially the CFL types) can interfere with the remotes.

I'll go out and buy some new batteries later today and try those.

Regarding the CFL lamps, I have been using them since before the TV was bought and it never had problems before. I hope it's just a huge coincidence that all the batteries in my remotes got weak overnight. The DVR still responds just as well though.

Don't hold me to this but if I remember correctly I thought Panny had a remote sensor problem on some early 2007 models & that they had issued a firmware update to fix it? I would do a search in the Owners PX75 thread & maybe it will come up or try another post asking about remote problems on the PX75.
