Now those things will become expected behavior.

Time to write the congressman, AV123's web hosting company needs a government bail out.

That's what I'm afraid of.

I did run away this evening to setup the D4s which finally came. I like what I hear so far. It's pretty amazing the level and quality of sound that these little guys put out.

please get the forum back up so I can continue my pissed off rants regarding my b-stock ls-6's and how neither Kyle nor Mark at this point will give me a straight answer and continually avoid returning my calls and e-mails at all costs....thanks...

Yep. Can't resolve the IP address for www.av123forum.com. Looks like an issue with the thresholdweb.net DNS servers. Same thing has happened before.

Maybe the check they promised to the webhosting service was late in arriving ... :-)

Viagra is all you need to get AV123 back up!

Before this goes down THAT road, this has nothing to do with AV123's side of things. The company they contract through is where the problem lies and as I understand AV123 is not the only client involved. Take it for what it's worth... not much.

Edit: This is in response to the late check joke. Funny as it is intended, people could take it as more then a joke...

I had a Viagra ad in my e-mail today. It had two naked people in a gymnastic pose with him leaning back with outstretched arms and her doing a handstand on the result of their product. Funny in a rather sick way...

We are having an office potluck on Monday. I think I'll bring a potato dish. Anyone have any good recipes? I'm lost without the Wine and Food thread.

Last night for a while it says "there is no website configured at that address" for quite a while. It looks like the ISP's server died and they are reconfiguring it.

Any good ISP would have a backup server and would have failed over. I realize a lot of these small guys don't do that but if you are running a somewhat large online business it might be a good idea to have an ISP that utilizes a load balancer where your site is hosted on multiple servers along with a replicated database.

I'm guessing that's who they use to run their site, right?
Last night it showed a different company.

lol, Im a AV123 supporter on here but if that is true WTF kind of stupid decision is that? Heck I have my own server running apache, its so damn easy to maintain and handle that using extreme webhosting services is just bad business.

I also recommend to all my clients to handle their own systems because you never know the day it goes down. If internet connections exist then a company should always have a web presence, more important if all their sales goes through a site

That's it I am taking my pant off until the site is back up..Really wish I didn't come in to work today, now everyone is looking at me:-(

To be candid... I have thought about it...

I'm not at liberty to discuss at this moment all that happened at our Server Farm that Threshold uses. I will only say this... We were one of something neat to 300 companies that has been severely effected... Very sad in fact...

We are working feverishly to get our site back up - and the forum, well... loads to say about that later...

I'm actually helping out on the sales lines from my house today... I'm at ext 322 (mls remote)...

I'm terrible sorry for this... I remember in years back we always seem to get some kind of torpedo blast right at Black Friday... My guess is that Kyle has been paid off by one our our competitors to see what that crazy mls has for Black Friday this year... I can tell you one thing its NOT... No UL's/UF's for Black Friday this year...

What we will have will surely SHOCK!

All the best... and thanks for your patience...

mls

PS... Part three of my own letter I've been writing deals a lot with some of the words that have leaked out here in this thread about our forum... You guys and gals are going to love it...
