Pictures from USB flash drive

I'm connecting a USB flash drive to by 360 and the xbox doesn't find any of the jpeg or gif files on the drive. It reads the drive because it sees the directories on the drive. Any ideas why it's not showing me the pictures?

no clue here. have you tried putting the files on the main directory (not in any folders). I havent tried copying photos since NXE, but maybe it has something to do with the update.

Make sure the file extensions are correct (.JPG and not .JPEG) and your flash drive isn't formatted in anything other than FAT32. Windows Vista can format flash memory in exFAT as well as FAT32 and Macs can format them with HFS+ and a few other formats so make sure you are using FAT32 or HFS+ if it applies to your situation. Sometimes, with the 360, you may have to plug the flash drive in more than once to get the USB port to read it.

wanna bet what the problem is?

you're flash drive has U3, its probably a sandisk, and it's formatted UDF, similar to a cd would be.

if thats the case, google search for a u3 removal tool.

Well, the file extensions are .jpeg. I'll rename them and try that out. What about .gif files?

The problem turned out to be that the pictures were named with the .jpeg extension. When I renamed the files to .jpg, the xbox recogized them.

Thanks for the help.
