Genelec USA uses one of these in their pro-audio sales demo setup. I've heard really high quality dolby digital material decoded through this processor and it sounds as good as PCM. Did you just discover this thing or are you trying to sell one?

LOL I knew about the Dolby DP 564 years ago when it more or less first came out. No spearing the word that's all.

I am on a quest for a processor that will take my blu-ray spdif output and output 6 channels via 3 aes digital connections. Would this work?

YES AND NO

This unit is one of the best Dolby Digital decoders there is, but it is limited to just Dolby Digital, no plus, no loss less etc. I think the number is about 768 kbps max AC3. For Blu Ray in a high quality setup, you will want to be able to handle the newer advanced codecs. Since they use higher bit rates, they can only be sent over the HDMI output.

Since a custom order DCI compatible Tact Audio TCS Mk 3 (beeing built as we speak) has 4 aes ebu pair digital ins, as well as handling all the hdmi codecs it is conceivable what shaun 5 wants to do MAY work.

I have a mk 2. Has the mk 3 actually shipped to any end users?
No but he is assembling a few.

Do you loose any of the other inputs with the DCI option? What is DCI option cost?

My quest ended with the a used mk 2, but now awaiting a possible upgrade to the mk 3...
