Psw-404 vs. Vx-10

Thread Starter
I recently purchased a Velo VX-10 on a budget. I am using it with Polk RM10 sats and center.

However, my father-in-law is getting rid of his PSW404 Polk sub and asked me if I wanted it to replace my sub.

Do you guys have any opinions as to which is better? They live far away and I didn't want them to ship it if there wasn't going to be a benefit.

Please let me know your thoughts...

If he's just giving it away, might as well say yes and at least try it out to see for yourself. Otherwise, my guess is that the 404 might have a little more output and extension, but it probably won't be a night and day improvement over your VX-10.

I say get the 404 and sell the one you don't like after hearing both.

If it's free and the shipping is cheap you can try it. But like said before it may not be a big improvement.
