Finally got mine. Woohoo! Took a long time, but it's here so I'm happy.

I'd been searching for a 2nd new BH200 at a good price. Best I found in the past 3 months were on E-Bay, starting at $400-$500!

Local Best Buy had a BH200 on display...has been there for 3 months with No inventory back up (discontinued) and only a 10% mark down (no box, no remote, no cables, no power cord, no paperwork...Zippo, just a scratched display).

Well, I offered $150 As-Is. Mng said he couldn't let it go for less than $199. They offered a power cable and an order with LG for the remote. Selling it as a new unit, so I bit the bullet. Got it home, works Perfect.

Then I called LG, gave them the SN and they offered to send me the $75 Rebate & a Remote!!! Guess luck was on my side...$125 total for a "new" warranty BH200 with cord and remote...really not a bad deal considering All of the 176 Blu's and 104 HD-DVD HDM movies I've invested in!

Ted

BTW: 1st BH200 purchased in Nov...Loads QUICK, Plays Flawlessly, is Very Quiet and is Built Extremely Well, Love It!!!

Congrats!

That blows that they wouldn't drop the price down lower.

Just goes to show that sometimes you get a manager who will deal lower than another one.

Overall, still not bad for an original $1000+ retail player!

BTW, 7 days after talking to LG, my replacement remote came in!! Still awaiting the $75 rebate but so far, very happy with LG's CS!

This value keeps climbing, and climbing... original MSRP was $899 and then quickly dropped to $699. But, still a great deal for a BR/HD-DVD player!

I got mine as an open item from best buy a few weeks ago for $99 and I just received my $75 rebate. So $24 for the player was well worth it!!!

& BDLive is coming too for those who were whining - now you gotz best of both worlds.

Just got my check in today. It is the easiest $75 I have ever made back! Sent it off on June 26th, and got the check July 13th. Not bad at all.

Hurry and cash it before LG enables BD-Live.

No, nobody gotz nuthin' yet! I'll believe this be-all/end-all firmware upgrade when I see it working in my player!

Well, believe it! As of this morning the new firmware is available from the LG update server (through the BH200) and it does enable BD-Live. Sadly, it doesn't deliver on some other much needed issues, but it is available.
