Bought an Arcam AVR280 today and:
- I can't get it to tune an AM or FM station to save my life; I've tried 2 antennas and plugging it directly into the wall.
- I can't get the OSD to display using the various settings (full screen, mixed) and with different outputs (s-video and composite)
- I can't get the damn thing to make a noise - not even the white noise test pattern. Tried various speaker wires. All I get is a bit of a 'pop' when I change inputs. I can see the receiver changing modes based on the source, ie. "Dolby Digital" pops up, but no sound for me.
- Through components, I can't get my XBOX 360 to display - I get, "Mode not supported". I've plugged the box right into the tv and it works fine, all resolutions.
So there we have it... My gut is this thing is a BRICK, but if you guys have a magic answer it'd make my weekend.
