TH-50PC77U Picture in the Middle of Screen

Had my Costco TH-50PC77U for a little over a year and have been very happy using picture settings posted here. I have Time Warner HD and have recently began seeing some programming appear as having black bars above and below as well as right and left of the image. This started happening in the last month and it coincided with either getting a new PVR or kids pushing buttons on the remote (both events happened within the same 1 or 2 days).

It also doesn't happen all the time on the same channel and may change aspects between commercials. It also happens with HBO On Demand. Time Warner said it is coming from the TV settings and not the cable box or "it's the way the show is broadcasted". Like I said, it hasn't happened once in the previous 12 months, just the last month.

With the remote control incident, all I saw while our 1 year old had the remote was the word 'zoom' (not the aspect ratio) come on the screen and the picture adjusting. I thought it was the zoom adjust setting but I can't seem to reproduce it.

Any advice would be appreciated...

Doesn't sound like a TV problem at all. the cable provider appears to be at fault. Also, your baby might have pressed something on the cable remote. As long as the tv's aspect ratio is set to "full" you should be okay.
