PS3 vs other BR players

Is the PS3 still ranking as the top blu-ray player? My parents just got a new Sony W4100 and want a blu-ray player. I know the PS3 was the best at one point but I haven't been following new players...

It'd be a plus since I'll have a PS3 at the parents house
