I'm getting the data from a downloaded copy of the HD350 manual.
150mm above
300mm side
200mm back

Seems excessive to me.

Sorry, it is the Panny 3000 that has those specs.

I hope your right, but DIY Guy posted the same diagram that's on page 3 of the HD350 manual.

Just a word of advice to those upgrading from an RS1.

Do not watch The Dark Knight with your wife/girlfriend and tell her it will look even better next week when the new projector comes in...

I think it is reference quality video. Imax scenes looked amazing. Can't wait to watch on the RS20.

Very strange. I think that eliminates the HD750 as a possible factor. Also I asked someone in the UK forum for you about using the 350/750 (can't recall which one they had) with a switcher and they reported they are using an IXOS 4 port switch and the pj works just fine over HDMI.

When was your Viewsonic manufactured? Is it a HDMI 1.3 device?

I would think it was your Levinson, but you reported that you couldn't get it to work with the switcher. Humm... How old is your switcher? Is it HDMI 1.3 compliant?

Have you asked Levinson about this? Let us know how it goes.

What about the front? Isn't there an air inlet or outlet there?

I have my pj behind the back wall in a closet so the required front clearance is crucial for me.

Swampfox, by "those" specs, I meant the 4" clearance. Looks like the JVC needs a HUGE hush box, sorry.

A permanant link to the HD750 manual can be found here at JVC's UK website.

I've saved approx 20 BD's (e.g. Dark Knight, Narnia:Caspian, Wall*E, Ratatouille, Hulk, Indy Jones, Matrix, Apes, Day Earth Stood Still, Wanted, Bonds) specifically to break in the RS20. (the only film I couldn't wait on was Iron Man - one of the last films I watched on RS1)

So if the Soprano's don't hijack the truck on the Jersey pike AVS should be shipping RS20's early next week.

Just an update: it is now Thursday. Not asking any specific questions about AVS receiving RS20's or anything, because that would be a sign of impatience, and I, of course, am quite patient.

Now, back to my zen meditation.

I think Jason has been on an install somewhere in NY the last few days from reading a thread in the $20k+ forum.

I, like you, am patient. For this reason, the thought has not even crossed my mind that I should even consider seeking an update of any kind. In fact, I am affirmatively disinterested in the RS20, as well as all other material things. As we all know, such things fleeting and I have no use for them.

Hi all,

i've bought my HD750 yesterday and will try it tonight.

It comes in replacement to my HD100 (i'm expecting more lumens).

It's used in a dedicated room in the basement.
It's TOTALLY black (walls, ceiling, carpet, couch ...). Even the leds from the electronic that are behind me have been masked.

The screen is 280 cm Wide (110 ").

Il let you know toworrow my first impression.

If you have any question, feel free to ask.

yours,

Cyril
(sorry for my poor english)

This is the approach I should take...... ROTFLMAO. I think I can add to that Zen feeling by watching the cables hanging out from my ceiling.

I heard that JVC ships to AVS from CA. Anyone know if AVS can have units shipped directly to people in CA instead of going to NY then back to CA?

If the credit card has been charged for the projector, could one think that theirs is on its way to the house already or about to be shipped in a day or two??? What do you guys think?

One could think that, but from Jason's post (see the link above), since he won't have them until Friday or early next week, one would be wrong...

On the phone with me on Monday, Laurie mentioned 'getting some Friday', and then verified with me the credit card information and exact amount that they were charging with shipping/QC, etc. I suspect the credit card charging will happen this week, the shipping next week.
