Coincident? This week I discovered also some 'lost' cover arts.
I had ripped a box of music from Pierre Boulez, almost half of it was not recognized. With boxes, I give every cd a recognizable code in the title, like BOUx, with x the cd-number.
Afterwards I pick up the BOU's in Maestro, give the cd a decent title and cover art from my scanner.
Then it sits for a while until I'm ready to edit the stuff further.
This week, I searched for BOU, and found all the albums again. But now I noticed that some of them did not have all the tracks! How about that!?
Some more searching in artists revealed that the missing tracks appeared in albums with different names, in my case "Gesamtwerk CD xx", no BOU in them, but with the correct cover art!
So, strangely the ripping of these cd's had resulted in two albums, but editing one track to give it a correct albumtitle and cover art, had updated the album title for only a part of the tracks, and a cover art for all of them.
Of course I was not pleased with this dividing trick from the Olive, and I moved the tracks from the Gesamtwerk albums to the other ones. Exit Gesamtwerk.
But now the remaining and merged albums have no cover art anymore. A black spot is shown! So I lost them in the process.
