New PS3! No Video or Sound!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!

I have a new Ps3 and I plugged it in for the first time and lo' and behold there was no picture or sound. I have used both HDMI and AV cables that came with it. Also, I tried resetting the playstation with both cables. The Tv is an LCD. PLEASE HELP! Let me know if there is anything else you need to know.

Try holding the power button down for 5 or 6 seconds when powering on. This is a built in feature that lets the PS3 automatically detect your output. When holding down the power button it will beep once then after a few seconds it will beep again, then let go. Hope that helps.

Where did you get it from?

And if that doesn't work.. bring it back and get a new one..
