Advice on which Computer Monitor to buy

I recently purchased a Samsung T240 LCD. Specifically, this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1213047107203

One of the pixels is dead, so I'm going to exchange it, but I was wondering if I should look at something different. I've only had the monitor for a few days, and so far I really enjoy it. I just thought that maybe I'll upgrade, so I've been thinking about a Hanspree HF-289HJB: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1200703080130

And the Samsung T260: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1213047093005

I do some minor gaming, but I'm more concerned as to which has better colors since I do photoshop art. I also watch movies from my computer, and I was debating whether or not to hook my PS3 up to it. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

(As a side note, I'm pretty sure I was a member here before, but I couldn't remember my username at all. Maybe I never registered before.)

I suggest sticking with the 22 or 24'' and spending the extra money on calibration equipment. I also like to make sure the monitor has good backlight control.

The only bad thing I have heard about those Samung monitors you are looking at is the pedestal can be wobbly. Many people will be typing while their screen is dancing to every key they press.

I would also steer clear of a glossy bezel unless you like to have your eyes distracted by brighter lights around the room

The stand is a little wobbly, I guess, but my keyboard is very soft, so it doesn't really shake unless I'm trying to be rough with it. I'm not set on it entirely, but I do want something from Best Buy to use as a monitor.

These monitors are ok, you really need to be looking for a monitor that uses either IPS or SPVA technology as well as something that reproduces at least 92% of the NTSC color spectrum. TN panels have very limited viewing angles which makes color work very difficult, spend a few more bucks and get a good display, My best advise would buy a Samsung 245T,still a TN panel but way better color due to back light, I just checked, they used to make a 245Tplus that had a SPVA panel, but no more. There is a 275Tplus, maybe more than you want to spend. I do use a 275T Plus and 215TW, both SPVA panels, they completely blow away the 245BW (TN panel) out of the water for color work. TN panels great for gaming as they are very fast. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I do have a budget, but more importantly, it has to be from Best Buy. I work there, so I get a discount.

I'm not sure how to find out the color information, but this is pretty much the list I have to work with.

245T a TN? Does not appear to be the case...
