Help With Klipsch GMX 5.1 System

Hello everyone,

I have an old Klipsch 5.1 GMX 5.1 computer speaker system and my amp/control pod has been having problems. The system freezes a lot and wont turn on. Both problems can be temporarily fixed by taking the power out and putting it back in. Since support wont help me, I was wondering if anyone knew my options. The speakers are fine but the amp or control pod isnt. Is there something I can use to replace the amp and control pod or do I have to buy a whole new system? If I were to buy a system, it would be the Logitech Z5500 for $220 even though they are 4 years old now. Anyone know if they are actually going to make a new system?

The GMX sats are pretty nice speakers for PC use. I'd recommend you just try to find a loose sub from a similar logi or klipsch system, because the cost of a suitable replacement amp likely won't make any sense.

Another thing to note is since they are pretty decent sats, if you buy a cheaper logi system that just has regular speaker outputs, you could sub them in. Most logi systems have good enough subs but the sats are pretty crappy.

I need a control pod and a new Sub I think. What are my options, I would love DTS since my Xplosion sound card has DTS connect.
