Sorry for the long post, but here goes:
I have all of my DVDs ripped to .ISO format. Each iso is in it's own folder:
c:\\movies\\heat\\heat.iso
c:\\movies\\saw\\saw.iso
I am using meta browser to gather all of the meta data, and within meta browser everything shows up correctly.
When I launch WMC, and go into Media Browser I do not see ANY meta data except for the poster and background art. It is as if Media Browser does not recognize the meta data for the .ISO files.
I ran a batch file to rename all of the .ISO files to .AVI and when I did that, ALL of the meta data appears in Media Browser. I get the plot synopsis, actors (with images) it's all cross linked so if I click on an actor, I see all the movies I have that they are in, etc. It all works (except it's not REALLY an avi file so it won't play.)
I found that if I moved the .iso file into a dummy video_ts folder, like this:
c:\\movies\\heat\\video_ts\\heat.iso
c:\\movies\\saw\\video_ts\\saw.iso
That all the meta data works, but the movie will not play from there. WMC is apparently looking for an actual .iFo and .vob files and when it can't find them, it says the file is missing.
If I extract the DVD from the .iso file and create the video_ts structure, everything works. Unfortunatly, I have over 300 .ISO's and don't really want to convert them all.
Does anyone have any suggestions, tips, ideas?
I am running Firestorm now, but had the same problem with the Phoenix release. I have cleared the cache several times.
I am running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate RTM.
