I had that problem also. What I did was to make shortcuts for every movie folder in the "My Videos" folder. I have my movies spread over 7 external hdd's, and it sees them all. Basically my "My Videos" folder doesn't have any actual videos in it, just a ton of shortcuts to the individual folders on all the hard drives.

I will simply create a shortcut in the My Movies folder to where the actual video resides, and Windows THINKS it is in the My Movies folder.

EDIT: It works.
Also, If I put in a link to the HDM folder (instead of to each individual movie folder), I get a HDM folder in the view. Inside that folder is a listing of all the HDM folders...each one showing up as the movie. It is a quick and dirty way of organizing the movies.
I have a LOT of history type movies...so I am going to move them into a folder called History and clean up my view.
