Top ventilation for XBR6/Samsung 750 52"??

I am planning on getting a XBR6 or 750 series 52" LCD, but it will be a pretty tight fit in terms of ventilation on the top of the unit (about 1" of space). On the sides and rear it is wide open (about 12" from the wall and 3-4" on each side. It is on a TV stand with a 'bridge' over the top of it. Any insight as to whether this will be a problem? Thanks in advance!!

FWIW, I called both Paul's TV (big local distributor) and Ken Crane's and both reps told me it should not be a problem, but I have lurked AVS for so many years, I would tend to trust you guys a bit more!
