I have a sony lcos TV and I was wanting to play some pc games on it.
My computer has a 4870 video card and is about 12 ft from the TV. Should I just buy a 15ft hdmi cable or will this even work at that distance?

The video card came with a dvi to hdmi adapter, kinda cheezy I know

Hi, I had a 15" DVI to HDMI cable made for about $12 but usually takes up to 2x the TV to computer distance figuring in gradual bends to avoid tension on the cable ends and ability to move things around but yah you can just buy an HDMI cable from say Monoprice or Blue Jeans cable.

Thanks I didn't even look at long cables.
I was afraid that anything over XXft would cause signal degradation.
After seeing 28 AWG going 25 ft and 24 AWG going 50 ft I see now my conserns were just being afraid to try it.

thanks again

Man can you picture buying a 25' monster cable....ROFL
they were in sundays ads 6ft super duper on sale for $119 LOL
