Well after 383 hours, Infocus says the power supply has burned up and the fix will be over $500. It started when I selected "Source 1" in the menu (so the projector only recognizes for Source 1 - I only have dvd), and then it immediately wouldn't turn on. Their website says that when this specific thing happens, the firmware needs to be updated. However, the firmware can't be updated until the projector is on - catch 22. It does make the familiar chirp when you plug in the power cord, and Infocus also had me hold down the menu button when I plug it in to try to get it to power up, but no success.
So now, it's either send it in for repair (and it costs $150 just to send it in and find out exactly what's wrong), or get a new projector - and we just bought a new 46" Sony for the living room. Major bummer.
