I bought a 52" Sony XBR3 from Anderson TV about 2 years ago. Fortunately I purchased a 3 year warranty. My display has flashlights on the top corners and a fist size cloud at the bottom center, all of which seem to slowly be getting worse. I've also just recently noticed some image trailing with darker images such as the darks in someone's eyes as they walk face forward. None of the above is source dependent.
I have a tech coming out tomorrow so hopefully I can make him see what I see even though it will be day time. I'm going to adjust some settings tonight to see what difference it makes. If I end up being offered a replacement it will probably be an XBR6 but I've read people with image trailing or smearing issues in that thread too so I wanted to ask for feedback on the difference between the XBR3 and XBR6 flaws. I don't want to go through all this trouble if the flaws will be different but equal and I can't afford to replace this out of pocket.
