Linn akurate DS and FLACs

Thread Starter
I am attempting to play FLACs over my network, but having extreme dificulty.

I am using a nokia N810, and neither the media streamer, nor leia DS applications recognize that FLACs are available to use, it sees and plays WAV and MP3 only. Even using the Linn GUI on PCs, FLACs are not seen. I have confirmed they are shared by viewing and playing the files between PCs.
I am well versed in home networking, and no firewalls or anything like that are installed, and those that are, are 100% disabled...but why Can I not stream these files? Any assistence would be helpful, and if help is available before Xmas, would be great, as this is a gift I would like to have ready.
I do not know if this is a PC, Nokia, Akurate or network issue, it is baffling me.
the Nokia is up to date as is the Linn software.

Sharing is not enough, the UPnP server software must support the FLAC format. All UPnP Clients like Media Streamer, Leia DS etc. are not scanning or files by themself, they only can offer what the UPnP server software is offering them.

So it seems the UPnP server software you are using is not supporting the FLAC file format, e.g. the Windows Media Player is not doing so. Which one do you use?
