2 Sony Ultimatetv DVRS's for sale - CHEAP

I wish they would have kept this service going. It is only until recent updates on the DTV systems that they are getting closer to what we had. Still missing a few things that UTV had. We all know what I am talking about.

I have 2 Sony - 60 Systems for sale. Don't want much for them. One has a larger drive, and newer tuners. The other is original.

Make an offer - Pay for the shipping and call it a day.

If you want to see if I am okay to buy from - see ebay user la_canuck.

Thanks,

Carl

Do you still have the receivers?

Regarding la_canuck's comment about RCA/Sony/Microsoft/DirecTV not continuing the UTV Service.

I certainly do wonder what they were thinking. Of course they were a bit ahead of the DVR curve... I'm still surprised how cheaply I and many others were able to find UTVs at Radio Shacks/Best Buys/Circuit City ($50-100) around 2002/2003 when comparable DVRs did cost two or three times as much.

Of course the monthly service fee of $9.95 is still kind of high... however as was mentioned how many DVRs out there come with PIP?, built in 30 second skip (amazing I know, along with extra fast 300X FF), AND a WebTV/MSNTV Internet interface function.

One might have said Microsoft's biggest failure wasn't because it was a bad product for once... but that it was poorly marketed. Still even odder that MS didn't at least attempt a standalone version of the UTV DVR.
