Do all of the folks in the studio have terrible completions or what? The on-field interview with Tiki and TO looked outstanding. The studio PQ looks like crap. Are they using camera filters or what? D* KDLT 46.
id say they are for sure...lots of studio shows are heavily filtered...the view and leno are two that spring to mind as sharing a similar visual quality to this...

picture looks fairly decent watching buffalo NBC here in toronto, rogers cable SA 8300 and a pioneer 6010

stills and closeups look fantastic...lots of breaking up and artifacts in and around the cowboys white jerseys during motion though

not as good as the cbs bills game earlier, but kicks the pants off anything ive seen from fox this year

great sound mix though...awesome ambiance in the surrounds

OTA Orlando, FL WESH-DT 2.1

100% macroblocking mess

Cincinnati
WLWT-DT...1 subchannel
OTA
51" Toshiba CRT HD RPTV
LG LST-3510a ATSC tuner
DIY roof mounted antenna

B-E-A-UTIFUL picture this evening...Audio crisp & clear like I was there...

its sort of a "lesser of two" scenario, isnt it?

would i rather watch a relatively stable fox picture that looks soft and fuzzy, or a nice nbc picture that breaks apart the instant someone moves more than 1' onscreen..

hahaha

Looks damn good, WNBC-DT via Comcast in NNJ.

Really like the two box idea NBC uses to show the ref and the penalty replay at the same time.
yikes...just reading that this years superbowl is going to be on nbc...

hope they sort out some of these motion issues before then

NBC has no motion issues...Unless you have a LCD set...

Alot of excitement so far...

call it what you want, but if anytime something on screen moves the picture breaks up like an effect from "the matrix" then id say nbc has serious issues with motion...hahaha

You have problems then because I have a FANTASTIC picture when there is motion or no motion...Maybe your affiliate is having issues but not NBC...
I'm seeing no motion issues. The picture and sound are great. The new MPEG-4 distribution is really making a difference in SNF picture.

WMAQ-DT via Comcast.
Since the switch to mpeg4, I have not seen any motion artifacts on NBC. OTA from both WBAL and WRC on a 34XBR960 CRT.

Looks pretty good in Ft Myers, WBBH, Comcast QAM on a 42" 720p plasma.

Standing up close, some slight macroblocking and loss of detail, but from normal viewing distances looks fine. Loss of detail most likely due to a WeatherMinus subchannel and/or Comcast crushing it on QAM.

WNBC-DT NY OTA

Picture looks sharp. One of NBC's better broadcasts.

Way to many pyrotechnics during halftime.

For the kajillionth time, blame your affiliate. On a decent affiliate, NBC looks incredible. Some of the best HD I have ever seen in my life was the high-motion, bit-demanding Ironman Triathlon yesterday on NBC. It was absolutely beautiful from WLWT-DT Cincinnati as is SNF every Sunday night.

SNF sounds great as usual as well.

Haha... we were wondering when we'd hear the theme to Dallas

They also used it in the open of the broadcast.

We book-ended it, you see. Good night from Big D.

I had big-time motion issues watching in Los Angeles on DirecTV. Switched to OTA and everything was fine.

Watched via WDIV-DT NBC Detroit OTA (1 HD & 1 SD channel). Looked pretty good, and the sound was superb as always. Surprised to see Dallas win, but Romo seems to be the catalyst for the Cowboys.
