Hey guys,

I'm new here but I was wondering if you guys would know the reason my TV's started to flicker.

I bought a Toshiba Regza XF550U 46 inch 1080p 120 hz LCD tv less than 3 months ago and it started flickering in the past couple days.

At first I thought it was maybe a power connection issue (noise from a plug or powerbar) but I switched powerbars and it still happens.

I'm running a HD cable box and a PS3 using different types of HDMI cables and it happens on both systems, so I don't believe it's a input problem. I've noticed when I use the picture freeze function of the TV, the flicker still occurs.

However, something that struck me odd was that it didn't happen when i switched the HD cable box to component cables and did an A/B style comparison. So I'm a bit worried that it's the HDMI receivers on the TV. I'm using monster and nameless HDMI cables and it happens on either cables i use.

I also thought it might be a screen refresh problem but I haven't really played around with that function of the TV and I just did a system reset on the whole TV and it still happens.

It seems like if the TV rests for a bit and I turn it on the flickering doesn't happen immediately but it'll eventually start flickering at the top half of the screen more than the bottom half.

And it's not like i've been running the thing 24/7 since I bought it, overall usage has been fairly conservative to moderate since purchase.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
