RCA D52W136D Throwing Error Codes

I have a circa 2003 CRT rear projection RCA Scenium model D52W136D that is producing the following error codes

72 (ten times) time stamp 007342:18

73 (ten times) time stamp 007342:18

44 (four times) time stamp 007336:35

33 (five times) time stamp 006797:02

37 (one time) time stamp 006536:09

The picture bleeds on white lines in the lower left corner of the screen when displaying a 1080i signal and any input DVI, or component. There is a visible color tear around whites and the picture is not as crisp as it once was.

Any help would be appreciated

I haven't cleaned the lenses or mirror. Anything to watch out for? cleaners etc ?

The first picture is that of my PS3 hooked up via monster hdmi to dvi cable 1m close up on the bottom left corner:

This picture is full screen

This picture is the menu from my Direct TV Receiver.

I appreciate the help.

Just needs a cleaning and convergence adjust. If user level convergence isn't good enough, then you'll need to use the service menu level which is more difficult for the average person to navigate. http://www.keohi.com/keohihdtv/brand...rvicemenu.html

I have done an auto convergence adjust in the service menu before and it always finishes with no adjustments needed. I also pulled the front speaker panel and I can see the CRT's and its pretty dusty inside. I am not sure how the chassis opens and pointers?

Auto convergence is not reliable. You need to do manual multipoint convergence.

For cleaning I think the front grill comes off, there may be screws holding it on from behind on each side then pop it the rest of the way off? Then remove the few screws that hold the upper grill/ button panel on. Let it hang down out of the way and clean the lenses with some non-amonia glass cleaner and some paper towels.

Thank you for your help I really appreciate it. I read on the link provided about a focus adjustment is that something else that may need to be tweaked?. After I clean it and hopefully go through the manual convergence process ( assume I access that through the service menu) I will post pictures again of the results. This TV used to be some much clearer and its not my eyes going.

I went through the 195 point manual convergence adjustment and things were WAY off. I tried to get it as close as possible. There are only a few areas that may need a little more tweaking but the results are great. The picture tightened up. I think I may still clean the lenses and mirror but for now its a 300% improvement pictures to come shortly.
