Pioneer pro-141 ISF Calibration problems

Thread Starter
I just had an ISF tech from Best buy out to Calibrate my pro-141 elite. I am having issues with the settings returning to default when i dont want them too. So i have a ps3 that i use for gaming and for bluray, and i want to use the Standard AV selection (the calibrated selection) when i'm watching bluray movies and i want to be on AV selecting GAME when playing games, but when i switch between these two AV selections it resets my Standard AV selection to default settings. I believe it has something to do with the fact that the game control preference is turned on, i think the TV must reset when i start playing a game or something, i could probably solve the problem if i turned the game preference feature off but i dont wanna lose any quality i might gain by having it turned on when i'm gaming. Does anyone actually know that that feature does? is it just for communication between the tv and the console? I'm thinking that perhaps when it's turned on that the TV isolates and uses the gaming console's processor more than if the feature was turned off.

So to recap my main question is about the gaming preference being on or off does it make a difference what does it actually do?

The Signature Monitors have 8 memories for the standard AV Selections that are based on the input signal (1080i, 1080p/60 etc).. You have no way of selecting which memory to use (it's automatic based on signal input).

Unfortunately, since Best Buy cannot activate and calibrate the 141's ISFccc Interface (they do not the 9G Elite Monitor ISFccc Display Profiles for ControlCAL), you don't have access to the 3 additional memories per Input (isf Night, isf Day, isf Auto) which you can select at anytime from the AV Selection. Each of the ISFccc's memories can be calibrated independently of each other (and the standard AV Selections) and their configuration will not be reset (or cycled).

Though it's too late for now (you paid Best Buy), here is a LIST of those ISF Professionals who can properly activate and calibrate the 141's ISFccc Interface (the suggested/recommended way). Look for [M] in the Calibrator's Listing.

I would contact bb and ask for an immediate refund.

Then contact an ISF tech on Turbe's list and have it done right.

You spent alot of money on a great display, if your gonna have it calibrated correctly with all the ISFccc options available do it right and use a good isf tech with the best tools to use on your Pro141.
