This is only on some interlaced content. That doesnt happen using software deinterlacing solutions on the same content. The sad thing is Nvidia will probably not fix this until the next generation of hardware processing in cards. If I cant find a the drivers I need, I'll have no choice but to switch to ATI.
On my Sage server with Geforce 6600: 175.19. With this outdated card, very few drivers actually play 1080i stutter free for me (the other being 84.21). 175.19 finally gives me H.264 decoding, I am hoping future version will give me back level adjustment. But so far, anything newer than 175.19 stutters badly in 1080i mpeg2.
On my Sage client with Geforce 8500: 178.13. With this newer card, most drivers seem OK, and I stay on this version for stability (less BSOD), as I multi-task (x264 encoding, VideoRedo, ....) frequently on this machine.
Both of them on XP SP3.
