We keep a laptop in our family room and thought it would be great to have a software package (effectively a software based universal remote) that uses the laptops WIFI to control AV devices. Obviously there would need to be a piece of hardware that converts the WIFI signal into a IR signal, but we cant imagine that would be hard to do.
Does anything like this exist? We have searched the web and can't find anything.
