No, it is connected to my rooftop antenna. Hopefully I won't feel the need for cable much longer. The cheapest package where you can get a DVR from them ends up around $90/month once you add all the taxes & fees, and about 90% of what we seem to record is on the local channels/networks.
I tried a recording from one of my weaker channels (one that I couldn't get reliably enough to be watchable before) and it gave me a message something to the effect that the recording wasn't complete due to signal loss. But I watched the recording and saw (and heard) only one, very brief blip. I've seen worse on cable. I hope the reception remains this good and it isn't just a very friendly atmosphere.
I am not getting the TV Guide logo in the guide (so it may be using PSIP data), and a number of channels still show no data. I'll see if anything updates overnight. I have my "real" zip code entered right now, not the substitute number. I hope that is correct.
