Yeah x2 on that, I don't think it can be matched for that price.

Or DIY. Just made a sonosub that goes down to 20Hz at 105dB for around $450.

The chefiest sub is when you do it by hands, on program like winisd you can do good sub wit very low hz,and not much many, becouse you can chose chefier speaker.

I've found out with the eD A2-300 is that you pretty much get exactly what you pay for. The output is certainly more than you would get with most other products at this price point no doubt. That being said my A2-300 arrived with several QA related issues which have yet to be fully resolved. The folks at eD have honestly been great with trying to get my issues resolved but it's unfortunate this process so far has included having to disassemble the driver and amp twice now. I'm still hearing a slight but annoying rattle from the port at certain Hz at even moderate volumes levels.

I have the same problem.. The port seems to resonate.. I even got a new port sent to me and it did the same thing.. Next I am going to try and put some weight on the port.. Other than that the ed a2-300 blew me away for the $$ spent on it.

Yes they do play as low as the eD's, perhaps even a bit lower but they are a somewhat more refined and a bit more expensive for comparable models. The OP was requesting "the lowest possible hz for the money".

With all due respect, where are the professional tester results to back up this recommendation?

The test of the A2-300 certainly don't back up the manufacturers specs as to extension and output.

http://www.goodsound.com/equipment/e...gns_a2-300.htm

"I tracked the variations in the bass response. In my room, there were bass bumps at 80 and 63 Hz (+2,-3DB, compared to 100 Hz), while the bass response fell off gradually and smoothly below that, down to 31.5 HZ. The levels at 25 Hz and 20 hz were noticeably lower, both to the meter and to my ears. It's my feeling that the A2-300 would offer more extension in a bigger room."

Like many subs out there, there are no tests of the A3-300. This test, of course, is the lower model A2-300. Also, that testers methodology is kind up up to question since I really have no idea about his room or his technique, other than he seems to feel something about the room's size is killing the extension(???) for what ever reason. Shouldn't a pro tester use something more accurate than a Radio Shack meter? Is he even using any correction for the Radio shack meter? In any case, I'd trust eD's specs at least as much as this results from this particular tester.
