OK... I'm running into something I havent seen before and wondering if anyone has experienced this before. I have some test tones (10hz to 1khz and sweeps) that I got off another website and I am playing them one by one through the PS3. Certain ones are causing white 'spots' to show up in the LCD. Kinda like when you press on the screen of a laptop. I noticed this at tones < 150hz so I suspect it has something to do with the subs.
Equipment:
2 ultras, MBM12, Sierra's (center NOT shielded), Onkyo 606, PS3 and output to a 52XBR4.
Calibration:
Initial calibration was done with Audessy. After it was setup I adjusted the LFE output to run 5db hotter. Subs are co-located in the corner. MBM is on the same wall behind my listening position.
Room:
Room is 20x30x9, open on one side to pretty much the entire first floor (all 9') of the house as well as a 2 floor foyer.
I'm going to work on positing which exact frequencies cause this but the wife is already mad that stuff is rattling all over the place so I cant do it when she is home =). And thats with the vol set at 40.
I have a rat shack SPL meter coming on order and can post some of the readings after it arrives.
