New HTPC build

First off, I've been an avid fan of home theater stuff for quite some time and only recently have really been looking into designing and setting up my own personal home theater system. While I do have quite a few components that I will be replacing as I can, I decided the first thing I was going to do was build a nice home theater pc and go from there.

== Specifications ==
Motherboard: ASUS P5Q-EM
Power Supply: Silverstone 700W
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
Memory: 8gb Crucial Ballistix 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Video Card: ZOTAC ZT-96TES3D-FSP GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP
Sound: Onboard Optical/SPDIF
Hard Drive: 2 Western Digital 150GB WD1500AFHD RaptorX in RAID 0
CD Drive: LG Black 6X Blu-ray DVD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 40X CD-ROM SATA Internal Blu-ray/HD DVD-ROM & 16X DVD±R DVD Burner Model GGC-H20L
Case: Silverstone CW02
Input: Logitech diNovo Mini with bluetooth

The storage that this unit connects to is a Thecus N5200BR Pro with five 750gb drives in a RAID 5 array, so I have plenty of storage for music, media and movies. Everything in my house is connected over a 24-port Linksys gigabit switch. All of the jacks, outlets, etc., are all Panduit Mini-com stuff and all feed back into a closet with a 24-port patch panel.

Wow, really cool looking computer - oops, HTPC! Isn't 8GB RAM and 700W power supply a little bit overkill to play movies, though? I guess if it's all cheap, can't complain too much. I recently got a Kill-A-Watt power meter, and my computer, with one more optical drive than yours, draws less than 150W at full load - it's a 65W Athlon 64 X2, though I only have an 8600GT video card, passive at that. At typical loads, which would include playing a DVD, it's less than 120W.
