RTI RP6 red IR light on

I have a RTI RP-6 with 6 components running.

This afternoon my Satellite functions will not work from my remote. Every other component is working fine.

I have had a look at it and the red eye (IR) is on constantly on the Satellite. i unplugged the IR and replugged it but the red light came back on. Doesnt flash at all.

I have called my service guy but they are away until next week.

Any ideas or does it sound like my IR may be faulty?

I swapped out and it is the emitter. Funnily enough when i swapped back its now working ok. I will get the engineer to swap it out for a new one next week though.
